Jaime Irick
Jaime Irick is a visionary executive with a distinguished career leading transformative growth across multiple sectors, including industrial manufacturing, consumer products, and technology. As the former CEO of Pittsburgh Paints Company, he led the strategic carve-out of a $2 billion business from PPG Industries Inc. (NYSE: PPG), which was subsequently transitioned into private equity ownership under American Industrial Partners in 2024. His leadership solidified the company's standing as a market leader in coatings and building materials, serving homeowners and professionals across North America through a vast network of retail stores. Jaime’s tenure at PPG began in 2019, where he held roles of increasing responsibility. Ultimately, he was appointed Senior Vice President, overseeing Architectural Coatings in the United States and Canada, as well as Global Traffic Solutions. Together, the divisions generated $3 billion in revenue and employed more than 7,000 people. He also served on PPG’s Operating Committee, contributing to the company’s highest-level strategic decisions. Before joining PPG, Jaime was President of Life Fitness, a global commercial fitness equipment manufacturer with $1 billion in revenue and a leading brand in health and wellness. He guided the business through a major ownership transition following its acquisition by KPS Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade at General Electric, where he rose to become President and CEO of GE Lighting Solutions and served as a company officer. He also founded and chaired the GE MC2STEM high school, a pioneering public-private partnership offering STEM education on a corporate campus. Jaime currently serves on the board of directors of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW), a Fortune 300 diversified manufacturer with revenues of $15.9 billion. He is also actively involved in the nonprofit sector, serving on boards dedicated to educational equity and social impact. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Systems Engineering, Jaime Irick is a former Division I basketball player and U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer. He achieved the rank of Captain and is a qualified Airborne Ranger. Following his military service and deployment to the Middle East, he earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He and his wife support scholarships at several institutions, helping under-resourced students pursue higher education. They reside in Pittsburgh with their three children.
